How can we help?

At the UK & European Disabled Hajj Mission we aim to provide arrangements to suit individual needs in order to make the Hajj rituals accessible to all. We specialise in supporting you and those accompanying you when performing the Hajj, whether someone is in a wheelchair, has difficulty walking, difficulty with steps, partial sighted and so on, we endeavour to make the Hajj accessible for them.

Just tell us what kind of assistance you're looking for during the Hajj and we'll do our best to organise the kind of accessible travel that is most suitable for you. Our team in the UK and Saudi Arabia will ensure all our Hajj arrangements feature personal assistance, special equipment and facilities to make your stay as comfortable as possible and easily accessible.

Hajj customised Wheelchairs

During the pre-Hajj seminars we handover the UK & European Disabled Hajj Mission wheelchair. Which is equipped with many useful items such as the hands free adjustable umbrella and water bottle holders for both carer and wheelchair-user. Also a reclining back and rising foot rest to change into sleep position and attached wheelchair bag for clothing and personal items. There is also a detachable dinner tray and easy grip pebble picker.

We aim to hold Insha-Allah Pre-Hajj/Umrah seminars in 3 major cities across the UK, where lectures by a fully qualified Mual’im are translated in BSL sign language. Hajj information packs in Braille and tactile diagrams will also be available. During the seminars we would also assess individual needs and talk about how we can help.

Only 5 star hotels in Makkah and Madinah are completely wheelchair friendly. We therefore aim to adapt each room to the needs of the individual, with the use of grab rails, support frames and roll up ramps.

Disabled Toilets

As the toilets at Mina, Arafah and Muzdalifa are not all accessible for disabled people. We intend to make the toilets accessible with the use of roll-up ramps and assistance if needed from male/female carers.

Multi-lingual Speaking Wheelchair Attendants and Sighted Guides

Prior to the Hajj we will recruit and train local individuals to be able to safely push wheelchairs and act as sighted guides. Each one will be carefully assigned according to language and individual needs.

Our aim is to simply help provide a level "praying" field for countless disabled pilgrims. Our friendly and personal team in the UK, Europe and Saudi Arabia will make every effort to help you and those accompanying you during the Hajj. Get in touch with us and let us worry, so the only thing you will do is concentrate on your prayers. Speak to our travel advisor on 020 7286 2777 today.
